EVAM, a leading tech company who specializes in empowering companies to manage their customer relations through real-time data processing and a next-gen digital approach, welcomed Melis Cömert Okçu, who has 15 years of experience in finance, as its CFO, and Tuğba Dandin Sümer, who has 22 years of experience in human resources, as its People and Culture Director.
Holding a BA in Economics from Koç University, Melis Cömert Okçu started her career in external auditing in PwC in 2006. After working as a Finance Business Partner in Experian between the years 2011-2018, Okçu served as the Finance Manager in Sonae Sierra Real Estate Services between 2018-2019. Having been on the management teams of global companies throughout her 15-year long career, Okçu had been working as the Finance Director of the MENAT region at Iron Mountain: Data & Records Management since June, 2019.
After receiving her BA in English Literature from Ankara University, Tuğba Dandir Sümer completed a Human Resources Program at Boğaziçi University in 2007 and earned her Executive MBA degree from Koç University in 2009. Having started her professional career in 2000 as the Customer Relations Manager at Porter Novelli, Sümer went on to work at Gantek Technology as the Marketing Manager in 2004, and from 2007 onwards, worked as the Human Resources and Corporate Communications Director where she was responsible for Turkey and the CIS region. Following this, she worked as the Human Resources Director at Kron. Between 2013-2014, Sümer received “The Art and Science of Coaching” certificate from Erickson Coaching International, and during the same years, successfully served as the Human Resources Director at Partnera, a partner of Oracle EBS. In 2015, as the Head of HR at the SAS Institute, she led the company’s strategic HR projects in Turkey and in the MENA region. Most recently, she was working as the Human Resources Director at Fujitsu.
