Bülent Demirkurt was assigned as the new CEO of EVAM as of March 1, 2016. Having been working at IBM for more than 25 years, Bülent Demirkurt has carried out numerous successful projects in telecommunication, banking, insurance, retail and transportation sectors. Okan Karaduman, the CEO of EVAM since its establishment in 2010 to date, will continue to his post as the CEO of Intellica Business Intelligence Solutions after turning over the position to Bülent Demirkurt.
Okan Karaduman has made the following statement regarding the assignment:
Set up in 33 different companies in 8 countries, EVAM reaches nearly 215 million customers today. With the capacity we have reached, we transform the fast and streaming data into commercial actions by following 12 billion transactions daily. Our goal is to make EVAM one of the global software companies that originate in Turkey. In this respect, I believe that Bülent Demirkurt, who has taken over the post of CEO, will turn EVAM into a global brand in the upcoming period and I, therefore, congratulate him on his new post.”
Demirkurt started to work for IBM in 1989 as a systems engineer. He took on the post of Vice General Manager at IBM Turkey as the Sales Director from 2010 to 2015 after various posts such as hardware and software product management, information technologies architecture, customer relationship management, and sales management.
Demirkurt is a graduate of Middle East Technical University and London Business School.
